The Plate Bank is a successful initiative aimed at encouraging citizens to shift from single-use plastic and paper plates to reusable steel plates, promoting eco-friendly practices during events and gatherings.
Under this initiative, a total of five plate banks have been set up across different areas of Bengaluru, managed by our NGO members and dedicated volunteers. Additionally, two plate banks have been established in Haveri, extending the impact to more communities.
Along with steel plates, other serving essentials such as containers, spoons, and spatulas are also provided, making it a complete and convenient solution for sustainable events.
These plate banks are made available for public use during functions, festivals, and community gatherings, significantly reducing waste generation and encouraging responsible consumption
